The Galleon saw print as the cover of a paperback called New Destinies, Volume IV, Spring 1988, edited by Jim Baen.

At the time, I belonged to an organization called The International Association of Astronomical Arts. The IAAA organized an art show that toured the Soviet Union, of which The Galleon was a part. I didn't get any money, but it was shortly thereafter that the Berlin Wall came down. Coincidence? You decide.

That same year, The Galleon was featured in Visions of Space, a book edited and compiled by artist David Hardy.
