The title of this piece is borrowed from a poem by Raymond A. Foss. To be honest, I like the title more than the poem itself. More appropriate to the picture, I think, would be this verse from The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner by Samuel Coleridge.

"Oh sleep! it is a gentle thing,
Beloved from pole to pole!
To Mary Queen the praise be given!
She sent the gentle sleep from heaven,
That slid into my soul."
