Sparrow's ship is called the Astron. As I recall, it has been wandering the local spiral arm in search of life for about two thousand years. Everything on it is old. All the equipent has been repaired many times over — including Sparrow's helmet. It is dinged and scratched, and the paint is wearing off. And so I have to ask myself: Would I go on an EVA wearing a two-thousand year-old space suit? I read somewhere that the suits they wore on the moon aren't holding up too well just sitting around in storage.
